Supporting people with disabilities

More than a billion people in world experience disability – that’s around 15% of the world population.

And in the UK alone, it is estimated that there are approximately 11.9 million people with long-term health conditions and disabilities.

When it comes to employment in the UK it is estimated that 16% of the working age population are disabled. And there are significant gaps in the employment rates of disabled (46.5%) and non-disabled people (84%).

3 December is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), a day which the United Nations dedicates to raising awareness about the issues affecting disabled people and promoting the rights and well-being of people with disabilities across the world.

We know that people with disabilities have generally lower educational attainment, fewer economic opportunities, poorer health and higher rates of poverty than people without disabilities.

We also know that by providing our disabled customers with access to resources and access to our expert consultants, we are helping to break down these barriers.

We are proud to say that every day we work to help these customers to maximise their potential and create better futures for them and their families.

Please take the opportunity to watch a few recent video case studies of the support
we have provided to people with disabilities below:
